MOON BERRY

A moon hidden behind a crowded sky, whose light filters through at times

A strawberry, ripe and dense, almost candied. Dry cinnamon, coffee leaning into black, the warmth of a dinner not quite left behind, the shadow of a moon whose brilliance has grown rare. Hidden in the sullenness of a crowded sky, it lets its beauty filter through the dark at times. One catches a glimpse, then it is gone again. A violet flower opens slowly, like that brief light one no longer looks for.
