The indigo sky after sunset, that shade of blue no one stops to see
After the sun's last toll, an indigo sky slowly disappearing into night. Why does the shift from light to dark always seem instantaneous? As though no shade of blue existed between the two. That evening, the heat was lifting, and the oasis which had kept the coolness of the day was exhaling the scent of saffron, cooled wood, and a fig offered to a stranger. Seated on the carpet of an unexpected encounter, silence had settled in. And behind the palms stirred by the wind, that indigo sky one had never taken the time to look at, lost in the gathering dusk.
